Welcome to the official governance forums for the Hummingbot Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation that facilitates decentralized maintenance and governance of the Hummingbot codebase, powered by the Hummingbot Governance Token (HBOT).

Keep posts in English . While we welcome multi-lingual discussions in the International channels in the Hummingbot Discord, we don’t have the bandwidth to handle multi-language support here (at least not yet! If you’d like to pitch in, let us know).

Guidelines & FAQ

What types of discussions belong here?

This forum is dedicated to discussions on Hummingbot Foundation governance, primarily about the 3 proposal types:

  • Pull Request Proposals (PRP) : a proposal linked to an open pull request in the Hummingbot code repository or the Hummingbot documentation
  • Improvement Proposals (IP) : a proposal linked to an issue in the Hummingbot code repository that specifies a proposed improvement to a component of the Hummingbot codebase
  • Governance Proposals (GP) : a proposal that specifies either a proposed modification to the Foundation governance system, or a proposed distribution of HBOT tokens from the treasury for a community activity such as a grant.

Read more about the process for each type of proposal in the Governance section on the Foundation website.

What types of discussions don’t belong here?

This is not the place for:

  • HBOT price discussion
  • Generic Hummingbot discussion
  • Hummingbot support requests
  • Off-topic conversations

If you need technical help with Hummingbot on a standalone basis or in conjunction with the Hummingbot Miner platform, or if you want a place for more general discussion, visit the Hummingbot Discord or the Hummingbot Miner Help Center.

How do I submit and vote on proposals?

All proposals can be found on the Hummingbot Foundation Snapshot: Snapshot.
